Photogrammetry
Photogrammetry is a surveying and mapping technology of obtaining reliable information about the properties of surfaces, objects without physical contact with the objects and the environment through processes of recording, measuring, and interpreting photographic images and patterns of electromagnetic radiant energy and other phenomena. Photogrammetry in surveying practice include topographic mapping, site planning, earthwork volume estimation for proposed roads, compilation of digital elevation models and image base mapping.
